My Wicked Twin
Brent Doerner (Helix) began his musical career at the age of 13 with a set of drums his parents gave him. They were taken from him by his twin brother Brian (Saga , Helix) shortly thereafter so he turned his attention to guitar. Having toured worldwide with Helix , Brent earned four gold and three platinum albums.
In 2006 Brent was bound and determined, come hell or high water, to make an album. He bought a 24 track, one of those digital things, and said, 'I'm making an album, I don't care how I do it.' He still had all his guitars, or some, and just started writing. |

Brian has recorded with Saga, Refugee, Myles Hunter, Helix, Brian Vollmer, Melissa Bellm, Ray Lyell, Von Groov, Doug Varty and Cherry Smash. Shane Shedler (Martyrs of Melody) hooked up with Brent early on and contributed his skills to the debut CD. Shane has been recording since the mid-90's when he was a member of Martyrs of Melody. With the Martyrs, he released two independent CDs and began honing his songwriting craft.
Mike Uzelac (Helix) joined the band in 2008. Mike has been playing bass for a long time having joined Helix in 1979 at the age of 17.
Brent, Brian, Shane and Mike released their first CD as My Wicked Twin (Decibel Music) in 2009. |
